Our story.

Welcome!

I’m Ricky Seelhof—a rancher, mother, and maker who believes the best things in life are born from the land and made with our own hands. From the wide-open spaces of Woodjam Ranch in British Columbia, I craft skincare and salves inspired by old traditions, wild herbs, and the nourishing strength of grass-fed beef tallow.

Ranching runs deep in my blood—generations before me worked this land with grit and gratitude, teaching me the value of sustainability, respect for nature, and the power of living untamed. Whether I’m tending cattle, growing hay, or slow-infusing herbs under the sun, my work is always rooted in the belief that nature provides everything we need to heal and thrive.

She Ranches Boutique is more than skincare—it’s a connection to the wild, a return to what’s real, and a piece of ranch life you can hold in your hands.

I had to follow my passion!

My business started when my daughter was having terrible migraines and she couldn’t find anything that would help. I did a lot of research and stumbled upon the benefits of magnesium. I found a recipe of “How to make magnesium balm”. I decided to purchase the raw ingredients to make this “balm”. My daughter used it and felt relief in about half an hour. I then used it when I had a headache and felt the same relief. From there I Started sharing with family and friends and now it is my most popular product.

When I am creating products

I am careful and intentional to select ALL NATURAL and NON-TOXIC ingredients. I purchase the ingredients from Canadian suppliers, raw organic essential oils, beeswax from a local honey lady and beef tallow from the animals I raise. It is very important to me to have a standard of great quality, and support other women in rural business.

I’ve always struggled with finding a moisturizer that works…

For women who are in the harsh weather all the time but also their skin can’t handle all the fillers, additives, and fragrances. From there I have grown my line of products.

The oils that I use are infused with a lot of plants that I have hand-picked from our ranch. Just growing organically in nature beneath the Cariboo Mountains. Beef Tallow is also a main ingredient in all my creams…. now I know the thought of putting fat on your skin can seem peculiar, but the truth is our ancestors have been using it for years!!! It has a saturated fat ratio that is identical to our own skin cells, meaning it promotes healing to damaged skin.
